Zephyr Dress – Deer & Doe

The Zephyr Dress is a jersey skater dress that’s available in three options. Including a rounded neckline and a top and skirt combo. The Zephyr dress features princess seams on both the front and back bodice. Even though I sewed the entire dress on my sewing machine, without an overlocker, this was still a really easy and quick project. I used a light weigh jersey, which perhaps was a bit too light but the fabric has lovely drape. The tricky part is attaching the armhole and neck hole bands as it takes a bit of easing to ensure they fit. The pattern also says to use a 1.5cm seam allowance however the armhole band is only 1.5cm in width, therefore I had to sew as closely as I could. This is the only reason why I rate this pattern 4 stars and not 5.
