Ultimate Trousers

I have never made trousers before, but I have been seeing a lot of really nice ones around, so thought I would give it a go.

Based on the size guide, I cut out a size 12 for the Ultimate Trousers, but I was thinking I would have lots of alterations as I have quite big legs compared with my waist.
To my surprise, they fitted amazingly out of the packet. I took in the front and back centre seams by 1.5″ (3/4″ per pattern piece) to give the desired fit around my waist. I used a lightweight denim which has a small amount of stretch, which has helped with the comfort and fitting.

I didn’t have to do any other alterations which is amazing.

This was originally going to just be a toile, but I have already worn them 4 times (I made them 5 days ago!!).
