Toaster sweaters

A review of Sew House Seven Toaster Sweaters

I seem to be in the minority since I HATED this pattern! I made two sweaters, and both looked and fit awfully. The mock neck looks really cool in the picture on the pattern, but it was so uncomfortable – it comes up too high and made me feel like I was choking. Imagine having tightly stretched fabric all up on your throat. Yikes.

The instructions also sucked – there literally isn’t a page that says Version 2 starts…it’s really weird. And I had to refer back to Version 1 to see how 2 started….WTF. I’m an intermediate sewist, so I can read a pattern, but this was ridiculous. It’s too much to ask that a pattern instructions go in order?!?!

I added length, like everyone says, but with the boxy fit, air still flies up there and I was freezing – kind of the opposite of what a sweater should do. I changed this neckline to a regular scoop, but overall this pattern was a big old flop!
