Tie Dress – Charlotte Kan

I’ve had so many compliments about how nice it is and how difficult it must have been to sew but the truth is this pattern is very simple, just very effective.

I would recommend this pattern to adventurous beginners because even though the pattern is simple there is not so much guidance and it seemed written for people who were confident at sewing. I also didn’t find any other blogger who have made this pattern before and offered guidance.

The fabric I used for my version was Cupro, the pattern said the zig-zag stitch the side (or use an overlocker which at the time I didn’t have) but the fabric HATED the zig-zag stitch. So I did french seams which wasn’t explained as another option.

I love the shape of this pattern because it is oversized and tied at the waist I didn’t need to do any size alterations and it fits brilliantly. I’m 5″3 and took 5cm off but that is for quite a short version. Next time I’ll take off 2cm. I would recommend this pattern because I just love the style so much and it looks exactly how it was supposed to with very little effort.
