As soon as I saw this dress I fell in love, I initially saw the pattern in its design phase as Elisalex posted images on her feed on the mock ups she was making. I sat and waited patiently as soon as it launched I ordered a copy on and got it printed. I bought with out a plan but when they came together I knew it was a match made in heaven.

I choose the bishops sleeves didn’t make any other adjustments to the design. I did a toile and had to make several fitting adjustments including an FBA (1 inch to each boob) moved the bust dart down 1 inch, lengthened the bust dart by 1 inch, moved the waist dart to the centre by 1.5 inch,   0.5 inch of the bodice length and a narrow shoulder adjustment. It was quite a few adjustments but I wanted a perfect fit and being busty wrap styles can cause some issues with gaping but I think I got it just right. Not everyone will need to make so many adjustments this was personal for my body, don’t be put off by this but I defiantly recommend a toile to check your fit. The wrap over design isn’t straight so you get a beautiful line across the décolletage that is flattering and feminine. The skirt length is a perfect midi and there’s pockets. The bishop sleeves are slightly long but this gives them dramatic volume and the great statement, I love to keep my arms covered and I’m slowly coming around to the statement sleeve and this one is perfect. The sleeve hem is finished with a tie rather than elastic and I’m not 100% if its suited to me but it would be an east exchange. Maybe in the future I’d hack the sleeve and add a cuff??

I’ve already started a second version that I’ll be wearing on Christmas Day!!
