Such an elegant dress

I made the Selkie London dress in this Liberty Wool Crepe which is so perfect for this time of year! I love how the pleats in the bodice line up with the pleats in the skirt and create this lovely shape. I also love the neckline shape which is so unusual and vintage inspired – my mum tells me my grandma’s wedding dress had a neckline like this!

I found the pattern instructions easy to use but did struggle to get some of the notches to line up. I am not sure if that is the pattern or the fact that this wool crepe had quite a lot of crosswise stretch. Either way I love my dress and will be wearing it with tights and boots all winter!
