Tilly and the Button’s book ‘Stretch’ is the ultimate beginners’ guide to sewing with knit fabrics; every step is so easy to follow and it is jam-packed with helpful tricks and hints. I am a huge fan of retro baseball tees, so I couldn’t wait to try out the Frankie Baseball T-Shirt which is included in the book!

This is a great pattern for getting beginners up to speed when sewing with knit fabrics and it is just the right amount of slouchy. It is perfect for just throwing on with leggings or jeans! The instructions guide you every step of the way, including the more trickier parts like inserting a collar band. I sewed it up on this adorable sloth-print fabric, which is a cotton/elastane blend — you can see more on my blog!
