Strathcona Henley

A review of Thread Theory Men's Strathcona Henley

This was my first ever t-shirt and 3rd sewn garment. It was straightforward and Thread Theory has a sew-along on their blog which can be used with this or any basic t-shirt. I bought this pattern because I liked the variations, though I haven’t attempted the Henley variation.

Unfortunately I found this t-shirt stopped at an unusually small size and that the arm hole ends too high. The photograph is of my partner wearing the XL with seam allowances reduced to 1/4 inch to make it wearable through the shoulder. He is 6’2″ and normally wears a L men’s t-shirt.

Because my difficulties are primarily in the shoulder region where there a lot of curves requiring adjustment. I am unlikely to make this t-shirt again.
