Smart blouse, perfect for work

I was also a pattern tester for this pattern and I’ve made a couple of these now. They are lovely to wear. The shoulder detail and over sized cuffs at the end of the Bishop sleeve make it interesting and perfect for the warm spring days. I’ve been wearing it under a jacket on the cooler days.

The diagrams in the instructions are really good, make the slightly more tricky parts of the construction so easy to follow.

The pleats are worth taking your time over if you are using a Rayon or something unstable as they are matched with the same size pleats on the sleeve. I think you could make this in a Cotton lawn which may make perfecting the pleats a little easier and also lovely and light to wear if you aren’t confident working with really drapey fabric.
