Simply elegant

When #sewtogetherforsummer announced the jumpsuit/romper challenge the wheels started turning in my head, but I wasn’t sure which pattern to choose. I had it down to Amy, Poppy playsuit or the highly loved Zadie. Not wanting rush, I let the project sit, then I found this fabric! The most beautiful Silk Crepe de Chine while in Italy . The first thought that came was Amy! With her simple and clean lines, I knew Amy would showcase this fabric the best!

I highly recommend this pattern. Closet Case Patterns never disappoints when it comes to drafting and construction. Down to the most minimal detail, the instructions will give you direction! I used my bust measurements to determine my size, which landed me in a size 6. While my waistline is more of a size 8, I cut a straight 6 since the pattern has so much ease. I did opt to keep the zipper since I didn’t want such a loose fitting jumpsuit. I didn’t make a toile, but I did measure and compare several times to determined it wouldn’t be too tight in the crotch length.

Modifications:
I lengthened the waistline by 1 inch, and I shortened the leg length by 3 inches
My Measurements: 35 bust 28.5 waist 37.5 hip
Height 5’3
Long waisted
