Simple to make not so simple to fit!

I really enjoyed the sewing of this one, it was fun to whiz through with no zips/buttons etc. I liked making the ruffle at the neckline on View B and I liked how the ruffle is enclosed in the binding which also turns into the straps – it had a very interesting construction! I found it difficult to get a good fit and am still not sure I succeeded. There are no darts – only princess seams and because there are no closures it has to be big enough to pull on. I have a small chest but broad shoulders so the dress has to be quite big to get over my shoulders but then gapes a bit at the bust. I like the finished dress, it’s breezy and cool.
