The Jackie dress is a long dress with a high collar to be made in jersey with a minimum of 20% stretch, with princess seams from top to bottom and closed by a buttoned slit on the neck.
The instructions are super complete and very professional but the additional sew-along was also very helpful.Assembling 48 pages of the pattern and cutting the 11 pattern pieces is admittedly quite long but it IS a maxi dress!
Following the sew-along advice, I graded the dress from a size 6 at the bust to a size 8 at the waist.
And, I drastically reduced the height of the slit opening to avoid gaping after my recommended toile.
I used a wonderful heavy and soft silk knit jersey.
I am very happy with my Jackie dress, the pattern, the fabric and the combination between the two.
