As soon as I saw it I thought that View C was begging to be made into a coat, it’s the only view that comes as a jacket only. I also knew that I wanted it to be a proper winter coat, made in wool and lined. There was no way I was messing around with a pdf pattern for this, so I hassled poor Kate to find out when The Foldline would be getting the paper copy in and ordered it quickly before everyone else did. Adapting the pattern to make a lining wasn’t as hard as you might think, I used the pattern pieces for the coat versions of Views A & B for length. I’ve vlogged about it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNV0uaMde60&t=1s and if you fancy having a go yourself there’s more detail with regard to the construction on my blog. www.alexjudgesews.com. Mostly I used the excellent as usual instructions from Closet Case Patterns and found the whole process to be an absolute joy.
It’s such a versatile pattern too, there are so many options you could make that I’d definitely recommend it.
