I made this top as part of an apparel class and it was a satisfying sew. It’s a great top for beginners (like me) as it has raglan sleeves, which are nice and simple to sew in, and it’s not too fitted, so that minimizes one of the hardest aspects for a beginner: judging the fit! I actually sewed a Large, even though my measurements corresponded to the XL size as I wanted a closer fit, and there is quite a lot of ease built into the pattern.

Having said that, I nearly came a cropper with the yoke, by stitching it on a little incorrectly and then turning it backwards without noticing. I worked it out in the end, but that was frustrating. Of course, this was my fault, and definitely not the fault of the pattern, which is well-illustrated and clear throughout. Nice packaging too!

Overall, I’d say that if you quite like a looser-fitting top (although it’s no sack) and fancy a quick sew, you can’t really go wrong with this pattern!
