Rae Skirt – Sewaholic

A review of Rae Skirt - Sewaholic

I made this skirt a good few months ago now and it was an absolute pleasure! It took a few hours from start to finish and the instructions were incredibly easy to follow. I made it in our Tilda pardon my garden fabric, which washed and pressed beautifully and the pattern came together really easily. Due to the elasticated waist and loose fit of the skirt no alterations were necessary.

The skirt looked as I expected it to, although I would perhaps make the next size up for a fuller skirt next time. I had a bit of trouble choosing a size because Sewaholic patterns are designed for pear shaped figures, which meant I was a size 8 based on my waist measurement and a 4 based on my hips measurement (I am more of an athletic build). I went off the hip measurement and made a size 4, but a 6 or an 8 would have given me more fullness in the skirt.

I loved how quickly this pattern came together and how easy it was to follow and would recommend it to anyone. I have worn this skirt again and again!
