Pussy Bow Blouse

A review of Sew Over It Pussy Bow Blouse

Another pussy bow blouse but what is different with this one is that I removed the centre front seam. I’d love to know how others have done this – or a more “official” way – but I improvised… I staystitched the V point at the front to give it strength first. After sewing the shoulder seams as normal, I then added the necktie, stitching right round and including at the V at the bottom. I then cut into the V and when I sealed the necktie I overlapped the fabric slightly. It didn’t quite seal the necktie so I did some small hand stitches to secure it all together.
I felt this time the neck was a bit tighter than previous versions so I’ll look to make the neck opening a little larger for my next one.
Other usual adjustment: lengthened sleeve by about an inch and omitted the button/loop closure at the end of the sleeves and just finished them like the Susie Blouse.
Fabric was also the same one Lisa used to make one recently – I think a very smooth crepe.
Rated as Intermediate due to the adjustment I made.
