Patina Blouse

A lot of firsts for me came with this make. My first Friday Pattern Co make, my first proper sleeve cuffs with plackets, my first puff sleeve and my first order from The Fold Line. I added the A0 printing to my pdf order and the pattern arrived very quickly.

In terms of the make it was actually quite easy to follow. I made it over a few short sittings to make sure I was fully focused for each part. I can get carried away wanting to finish projects in one go but if I get tired I can make silly mistakes and I wanted this to be perfect.

I used a lovely soft cotton lawn which is perfect but the busy pattern, in hindsight, was probably not the best choice as the statement collar shape is difficult to see.

Overall I really enjoyed making this up and I’m delighted with the result. I will make another and probably quite soon as it’s a great Autumn piece.
