Olive silk satin Trina dress

I love this dress so much! It’s possibly the coolest dress I’ve ever made yet. The pattern was very simple and easy to fit. I used an olive green silk satin from Tessuti Fabrics so it took me all weekend to carefully cut out, pin everything and bind or french seam all the raw edges but I think it was worth it. I finished the hems by hand too. I was worried about the look of the bodice until I attached it to the skirt. It’s a hard one to visualise as you’re making it. My advice would be to slow down, read the instructions carefully and have faith in the pattern because it comes together beautifully right at the end.
