My Nina Lee Mayfair Dress Review

The Nina Lee Mayfair dress is hands down my favourite pattern! It’s so feminine. I can’t wait to make more of these.

I made a maxi version in a rich red polyester jersey. It’s a light/medium weight, drapey fabric.

The pleated neckline is well explained in the instructions.

I had some trouble sewing the neckline/shoulders.

I also didn’t love topstitching the belt. It doesn’t look neat. The jersey shifted as I was sewing the belt down, so it looks a bit wobbly 🙁

Other than that, the dress is loose, so fitting was easy. The belt is what creates the cinched-in waist.
