Melissa dress, blouse and skirt

I made this up in the skirt variation using a light weight denim fabric. It took a little head scratching to figure out the pockets, but once it clicked I couldn’t believe it wasn’t completely obvious. After the pocket issue, the pattern was a breeze to make up. The only fitting issue I had was some pooling of fabric at my lower back, so I will be taking some fabric out there on my next version. I faux-felled all the seams and top stitched with navy thread, changing to gold for the pockets, hem, and button holes. I absolutely love this pattern and I know I will use it again soon.
