Makes me feel like a princess

I’ve made two versions of this dress, one in linen and one in silk, and love them both. I did the following modifications:

• omitted the waistband as I’m short-waisted and don’t really like waistbands
• had to grade from a size 12 for the hips/bust to a size 8 at the waist

Version 1:

Main fabric is a gorgeous mid-blue schlubby silk I got for £5 at a stash sale. I machine-embroidered a vine pattern on the hem, and hand-stitched a daisychain along the neckline.

Version 2:

Main fabric is a linen with koi fish.

I made this for a summer wedding, but as it’s fully lined I think it would actually be too warm.
