lovely shape, great fit

A review of Itch to Stitch Kalispell Dress

I bought this pattern immediately after it’s been released. It’s a princess-seamed button-down with pleated skirt. The pleats on the skirt are sown together for the first few inches, which gives a very flattering shape. Itch to Stitch patterns are always exceptionally well drafted and are a pleasure to work with. There’s a lot of staystiching involved but it’s worth doing, to make sure all these princess curves fit together when you sew them in. This pattern works well in a variety of fabrics. I used Lady McElroy viscose with a bit of stretch, but you can use anything from double gauze to linen or mid-weight cotton.
