Lisboa Dress by Orageuse

A review of Orageuse Lisboa Dress and Top

So Orageuse is a new pattern company for me, I was looking for a chic, party dress pattern I could fit into 1.5m of crepe fabric and using The Foldline’s website I found this little beauty – The Lisboa dress and top.

It’s a PDF only pattern, so some cutting and sticking is required I’m afraid! (Or an order with the local copyshop!) It’s a relaxed fit style dress or top with a soft pleat at the shoulder, little cap sleeves or a longer sleeve option, and two different V-back necklines, a shorter more bra friendly V-back or a deep dramatic option. As this going to be a party dress for my partner’s 30th birthday – I went for the deep V-back option!

I cut out the size 36, this ended up pretty true to size and I actually didn’t make any adjustments to the pattern whatsoever! It was really quick and easy to sew together and the instructions are great, just enough detail for a sewer that’s made a couple of garments before. The diagrams are lovely and clear with all the pattern pieces clearly labelled at every stage.
