Lilac Serra Jacket View A

It is the Serra Jacket , view A with detachable hood.

I used a lilac waxed cotton from Textile Express and lining from my stash. I fused mid weight wadding to the lining pieces. Copper snaps and eyelets were used for contrast by Hemline via Ebay.

Zip and flat cotton cord are as close to the lilac as possible. On every seam I used a sealant to make them waterproof.

I enjoyed making this jacket and the instructions are excellent. I will make another version in wool but would go down a size in the shoulders as it feels a bit bulky. This is my fitting preference and not a fault of the pattern.

The wadding probably adds to this too and I would use a different weight next time, none at all with the planned wool version.  It does however keep me warm and toasty on Caithness winter days ?
