Leotie Midi Dress

Great dress pattern! I really loved the shape and interesting neckline. It back is also really great it’s the perfect V for showing a bit of skin without showing your bra band. Fabric used is a nearly black linen look (rayon and cotton) for the body and a stable knit for the yoke. I made a couple of alterations, including a full bust adjustment taking about a quarter inch of width out of the sleeves and about 6 inches off the hem. I’m about 5’5 and the original length was not at all flattering on me. It hits right above the knee after I knocked off some length which I find much more flattering. I went by my waist and hip measurements for the pattern size and I would say that it’s just a tad big. I probably could have gone a size down to get a bit more of a fitted look. Overall it’s a super great pattern and I’m quite pleased with how it came out.
