Leggings with two pockets!
A review of Sew Liberated Limestone Leggings and Top
I made the leggings from this set. I used athletic fourway stretch polyester/lycra. I don’t have an overlocker, I used the faux overlock stitch on my usual machine, polyester thread, jersey needles and a walking foot.
I made a toile according to the pattern and instructions using the shorter inseam length and they were a good fit around the waist and hip – which are the points that the pattern uses for it’s measurements. I tailored the fit – such as the shape of the bum and crotch, the fit on the knees and calf, and the length. Now I have a pair of leggings that fit me perfectly, and they have a phone pocket on each side. The pattern provided an excellent starting point for me to make adjustments.
The instructions were easy to follow and the pattern is clearly drawn with notches, lines and instructions written consistently (I bought a PDF and had it printed locally).
These are a good athletic legging pattern, they have the usual amount of panels for athletic leggings which provides the opportunity to colour block or have mesh panels. Obviously, styles for leggings change and you might want to adjust this pattern according to trends – such as being short or long, high or low waist, with or without a cuff (this pattern has a cuff option).
