Just what I was looking for

A review of I AM Patterns Flora Top

Reviewed by AnnaDoc on 8th May, 2020

I bought the I Am Patterns Flora top in search of the perfect blousey style top pattern: a step up from a t-shirt, plain enough for patterned fabrics, a top for work or to wear with jeans, with no collar!

I found it!

The v-neck comes to below my belly button so, when tucked into something, it’s less of a v and more like a panelled front. It’s very easy to make and tinker with. I’m going to add a little to the panel for the next version, as it is slightly low, especially in the very light viscose I made it in.

The instructions are simple and maybe a little sparse but in fairness this top doesn’t need in depth instructions and the drawings are very good.

I also left out the darts as I wanted it to be blousey so depending on the fabrication, you can get a different look.

There’s not much about this pattern online, don’t know why. It almost has that square neckline that is in fashion at the moment so it might gain in popularity. I’d like to see what other people are doing with this pattern!
