Jenny Trousers & Overalls

I made the Jenny overalls as both shorts and short dungarees and really enjoyed the process. The pattern is really well drafted and the instructions are great.

I graded between sizes and added a little depth to the back crotch seam which is becoming a standard adjustment for me. For the shorts, I used a denim and skipped the front pockets; for the overalls, I used a linen cotton blend, included all the pockets and swapped the overall buckles for buttons. For both versions I used the waistband with a single button; there’s an option for a waistband that buttons at both side seams, but I didn’t find that I needed that extra wriggle room!

I’d really recommend this pattern: I have plans already for the cropped version and the full length ones and possibly the trousers too!
