Ilford Jacket

This is a boxy style jacket or shirt & will give a different look depending on the fabric used & the length & sleeve options chosen. There are several pocket options for both bottom & top. But I decided that this fabric had enough going on without pockets.

I chose the long length & the sleeve with cuffs & placket, using a contrast fabric for the under collar inside cuff & placket.

The sizing is very generous, allowing it to be worn over something as a jacket, my size (37″ bust) should have me make a medium but I went down a size as I didn’t want to be swamped. I wanted to be able to wear this as a shirt dress & over jacket, to give it a bit of flexibility.

Overall, the instructions are clear, it is a simple insertion of the collar & the sleeves are inserted on the flat, a good pattern for someone who wants to learn some skills without the fuss of too much fitting.
