How do you say you LOVE something you’ve made without sounding big-headed?!
A review of Grainline Studio Linden Sweatshirt
It’s something I’ve often pondered over, because you want to big-up your sewing skills and be proud of your choices of fabrics and patterns, but you don’t want to sound conceited. I have NO idea what the answer is, so I’m just going to say it regardless… I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE MY NEW TOP! Haha!
It’s inspired by the Sewing Revival Kingfisher Top, which uses woven fabric for the body and jersey/ribbing for the cuffs, neck- and waist-band, but I used my Grainline Linden pattern from my stash as a basis instead and made this one with three-quarter sleeves and used wider ribbing at the neck.
I love the contrast of sporty stripes with the feminine florals, which works brilliantly and they go together perfectly colour-wise.
