Here Kitty Kitty!

I am so late to the Molly Top party!

I’ve spent some time during lockdown experimenting with knits, and Molly was one of my first tops to try.  I love the look of the extended drop sleeve and the cute crew (?) neckband.

I only needed a little outside help from peekaboopages.com “How to Sew a Knit Neckband” to help me measure an appropriate sized neckband with this Doodles Cotton Spandex Interlock Knit kitty stripes fabric from Joann (not on website anymore!). It’s not the stretchiest stretch knit, but holds it’s shape very well.  I’m looking forward to the temperatures dropping in about 5 months from now so I can get more wear out of it. It’s a little warm and cuddly for the Texas heat (especially with long sleeves).

I love the length and coverage provided at the bottom of the Molly. I’m a pretty active person, and I hate flashing my undies to unsuspecting passerby while I’m struggling with pulling out weeds in the flower bed, searching bins for the perfect yarn in my local yarn shop, or squatting to pet my dog Maddie on the belly. The Molly has me covered
