great details, well drafted

Surprisingly accurate drafting for a Vogue pattern, which usually errs on the boxy/roomy side. The pockets on the jacket are an absolute delight, cleverly done and very easy to make.

My one complaint is that, even after making up the skirt several times and triple-checking my measurements, I found that the skirt and its facing at the waistline never lay flush with one another. The waistband consistently turned out significantly smaller in diameter.

As a side note, I removed the top button from the jacket, because it seemed a bit of an outdated style to me.
As another aside, I used a surprisingly spongy stretch wool. It almost felt like a ponte. Difficult to press, but in a twill or a super-100 this suit would be beautifully sharp.
