Great comfy trousers!

I really enjoyed sewing my Arden trousers – the instructions are extremely thorough and include extra helpful tips along the way. I liked the fact that the instructions tell you to sew double lines of topstitching along some of the seams and bar tacks at the stress points of the pockets; they’re not complicated steps, but they’re not included in lots of patterns and I think they help the finished trousers to look more professional.

My hip measurement fell between two sizes and I chose to make the larger of the two sizes. I’m happy with the fit – they’re possibly a little roomier than they need to be but they’re really comfy and I like how they look. The only change I made was to lengthen the legs by about 2 inches (I’m 5’9″).
