Great beginner friendly pattern

A review of Tilly and the Buttons Alexa Jumpsuit

Alexa jumpsuit is a very easy, beginner friendly pattern. On my version i extended the sleeves by 30cm, rolled them up and secured by stitching them in. The sleeves are part of the bodice which makes this pattern very easy to sew.

For me next version, i would shorted then bodice a little bit and reduce the number of buttons by 1. I love a very clean look of this pattern, so i chose not to add any pockets. However, having worn this jumpsuit many times, i wish i added side pockets. The pattern doesnt offer this options, but i believe it is easy hack.

If you dont have an overlocker, i would recommend doing french seams on this pattern.

I made this in two tone tencel in warm sand by Meet Milk and it was perfect amount of weight and drape to achieve the look i wanted.

Definitely recommend this pattern and will be making shorter version for next summer.
