I’ve now made this pattern up twice and have a third pair cut out ready to make up. The instructions that come with the pattern are clear, but the sew-a-long on the website is the best way to learn how to make these. the sew-a-long takes you through the fabric choices and how to adapt the pattern to your own body.
I made the high waist skinny version. I was going to make a flared from the knee version but changed my mind partway through construction and ended up recutting the legs so they are not quite as slim fitting as the model photos are. The fabric was a slub stretch denim from Minerva and since making these they have been in heavy rotation all summer. Often paired with either converse or my DM sandals. the fabric used has a good recovery and is quite a lightweight denim that keeps its shape well and does not bag out too much. This pattern is quickly becoming my go-to fitted trouser pattern.
