Fringe Dress – Chalk & Notch

I adore this dress ❤

The instructions are excellent. There are explanations for common fit alterations at the start and each view is seperate so you don’t have to keep skipping pages. I like the construction order, it was nice to have attaching the bodice to the skirt as the last step instead of hemming!

I made this version out of a crepe and it works perfectly.

I followed the chart for my measurements and the fit is lovely, a defined waist that still goes over my shoulders. I inserted waist ties because I thought it would be looser fitting but I could have got away without them. Mine are inserted into the front darts, but you can put them in the side seams or back darts.

I really enjoyed this pattern and think it’s a great shape for transitional wear,  it goes well with bare legs or tights and boots!
