Flattering and Fabulous

I’ve made two 1940s wrap dresses so far and I love them both. The pattern is chic and flattering with some lovely details. It can look quite different depending on your fabric choice. I made a shorter version out of viscose challis which is a lovely summer day dress. I’ve also made a smarter version out of triple crepe (pictured) which I wore to a wedding.

The instructions are detailed and illustrations clear as you would come to expect from Sew Over It patterns. I would say it’s more of an intermediate level pattern as there are some details and techniques that might stump a beginner but if you’re confident and take your time an advanced beginner could certainly manage it. Sew Over It also have a dedicated sewalong on their blog.

I made a size 10 grading to a 12 on the waist and back to 10 on the hip. I also did a FBA adding 3″ total.
My measurements:
High bust: 35″
Bust: 38″
Waist: 30″
Hip: 38″
Height: 5’4″
