Flamingo Central!

I love this pattern! I’d wanted a loose fitting wrap dress for ages so as soon as Closet Case released this I knew I had to make it!

I used a drapey viscose I bought from Rainbow Fabrics earlier in the year, I’d bought 3m and the size 4 used the majority of it. I made the absolute rookie error of printing the pattern not to scale (numpty!!!) and so I had to do a bit of jiggery pokery as I was making this thanks to a cancelled flight giving me an extra day at home before my holiday!

The instructions were really clear to follow and it came together really easily. My only issue is with the ties, because I have definitely done them wrong somehow – I just have no idea how!!!

I made the midi length, full sleeve version, I’m a 32-26-36 and it fits really well, and definitely no gaping! But it’s a wrap dress so if dinner is large, the dress can be too!

I absolutely LOVE this dress, despite the fact that it has weird ties that make no sense (I’m well aware it’s my fault!) and I got lots of compliments on it, it’s easy, comfy but easy to dress up or down.

I’ve got plans for a more wintery one out of a thicker jersey I have (fingers crossed) and hopefully this time I’ll get the ties right.
