Fifi – Tilly & the Buttons

A review of Fifi - Tilly & the Buttons

I really enjoyed making my Fifi. I chose to make the camisole as a nightie, so I lengthened the seams by about 14″; it sits just above the knee. That was the only alteration I made. The instructions were crystal clear and the nightie went together like a dream. Although it’s listed as an intermediate pattern (because it’s cut on the cross and uses French seams) it was very straight-forward to put together.
I used the lighter-weight (130gsm) plain cotton fabric from Print me Pretty, printed with the Bunnies design by Angie Spurgeon. (I was pleased to have a good reason to use this design!) I used a duck-shaped button from my button tin, rather than a bow, to decorate the front.
