Fibremood Vikki

A review of Fibre Mood Magazine Edition 15

I’m fortunate enough to get a sneak preview of the FibreMood magazine before it’s published. I get to choose one of the patterns to make prior. honestly I could have easily made everything in it. My choice was the Vikki it’s a maxi dress with a deep V front and back. It has darts hidden inside the bodice to help keep ample bosoms in place.
The skirt pleats remind me of the  By Hand London Tamzin. I found it a little tricky to get even at first, so I completed the skirt then tackled the pleats by drawing them on with tailors  chalk the pressed them into place prior sewing. It was so rewarding watching them form.

The fabric is called ‘Brighton’ I had been gifted 3 metres from Storrs of London. I love the optical illusion the pleats give in the stripe, and of course the colours are amazing!

I’m sure you will be seeing more of this on my grid @jenlegg_teescreatives
