Emery Dress – Christine Haynes

This is THE dress pattern, at least for me. It fit right out of the envelope, although I have lengthened the bodice on subsequent versions, but that’s a normal adjustment for me. The fit includes quite a bit of ease, but still looks good, I think.
I used a rather stable cotton on this one, almost a bit like a quilting cotton – it was supposed to be a muslin, but it really has gotten quite a bit of wear.
The instructions were absolutely clear and even as a beginner, this was an excellent first dress to sew. I’d absolutely recommend this pattern!
