Elegant floaty blouse

I fell in love with the big pouffy floaty sleeves.  I had some white Japanese double guaze in my stash added some metallic/pearlised topstitching for subtle detailing.

The pattern came together very well, excellent drafting and clear instructions.  I sized down one size on the toile but could have made smaller, just depends on the level of floatiness you are comfortable with.  I also added 2.5″ on the length so it ended top of thigh which is a personal preference.  I didn’t like the way the arm cuff came together.  It is cut on the bias and stretched out as I was pinning so I just cut new cuffs on the grain and also shortened them so they weren’t so baggy on my elbows.  I absolutely love the finished garment, its understated chic.  I know I will wear it heaps. I would love to add a collar next time…
