Easy to wear skirt

I made this skirt with See You At Six Fabric (viscose ‘Lake’). This is actually made on the cross grain but it didn’t pose an issue. The skirt was a fairly simple make, the most time consuming bit being to get the gathering even. The instructions on YouTube are very clear and comprehensive, I don’t think this would be too difficult a project for a beginner. I cut a ‘circle’ size (I’m 30w/40h) without any fit issues and no other modifications required.

Also, I’m not sure how many mums will be reading this, but I have to say not only does it look good but it’s an incredibly practical skirt for the playground too. I was able to swing a leg over the see-saw without any modesty mishaps! Very important when you actually want to wear your clothes everyday. More pics on instagram @Hackknitsew.
