Denim Flint Culottes

I wanted to make the Megan Nielsen Flint Culottes as soon as the pattern was released but wasn’t entirely sure that I would wear a pair of culottes with such wide legs. Before making the pattern I first made a pair of wide legged trousers that weren’t quite as wide to test out the style, before deciding that I did want to make them

Because they remained a little out of my comfort zone I made the culottes in a plain denim fabric. The fabric turned out to be perfect, it’s made a really versatile pair of trousers and allows details like the tie to stand out. The pattern was a great fit almost as was, although I did shorten the crotch seam slightly. I really love the construction of these especially the tie/pocket  detail, it comes together so perfectly!
