Cropped Alina Design Fulton Sweater Blazer

A review of Alina Sewing and Design Co Fulton Blazer

Two months I bought some sweater fabric to make a cardigan. But when I wanted to prewash it it had discolouration at the foldline.

Looking for an alternative I came across the Fulton sweater blazer. The lapel collar and the open front were for the key elements to purchase this pattern. Plus the advantage of the back seam so I was able to hide the discolouration in this seam.

I didn’t had enough to make a knee length version so I decided to make a cropped version. I did set-in sleeves instead of sewing a sleeve in flat.

This cropped version of the Fulton Blazer is perfect for my body type. I topstitched the back seam and finished the back facing with a reverse coverstitch for a more sporty, casual look.

This pattern comes with well written instructions and illustrations. It also has two options for sleeve length as well as hip and knee length. Besides the instructions there’s also a sewalong online available.
