Cosy Stella Hoodie Review

Reviewed by Holly Stevens on 14th January, 2019

This is my second make from Tilly and the Buttons Stretch Book and this was one I didn’t really have planned to make any time soon, but as soon as the perfect fabric came along… I couldn’t help but try this one out!
Based on my measurements and the amount of ease in this pattern I cut out a size 1. I wanted it to be fairly close fitting to keep me extra toasty. I also knew I wanted a kangaroo pocket so cut out this piece too. I didn’t make any adjustments to the pattern pieces and sewed up the size 1 exactly as it was!
The only part I got a bit stuck with was attaching the hood. It took me a couple of attempts to get the front edges to meet perfectly and I had to unpick sections round the neckline a few times where the hood had puckered. Attaching the kangaroo pocket took a bit of measuring to get it central too and I took my time topstitching it on.
All in all though, this was a pretty straightforward make and I am soo pleased with the final result. It’s perfect for keeping snuggly this Winter and it’s going to get so much wear! I genuinely love this hoodie.
