Coco – Tilly and the Buttons

A review of Tilly and the Buttons Coco Top and Dress

Coco is definitely one of my favorite patterns. Who doesn’t need an easy-to-sew dress ot top to wear everyday? Even my first try was extremely smooth, it took me less than 2 hours to trace the pattern, cut and sew the dress.
I have already made 3 Cocos. The striped black and white one is made of a ponte roma knit fabric that is quite structured and helps the dress keep its A line shape. It is a size 4 which falls exactly in my measurements, no alterations were made. The second one, my pink top, and my third one, the navy dress, were made in a size 3, because I think a prefer it a little bit more fitted. The fabric is a lighter jersey and so the dress is more flowy.
I used the ruffled sleeves hack that was presented by “The Crafty Pinup” to make the navy dress, I totally recommend it, it adds such a lovely detail to the garment.
