Coco is a great beginners dress to sew – straightforward, but if you choose the option with the collar, you get a special “60ies” twist! Easy to guess, I chose to make the collar and add the sleeve cuffs. The pattern also offers a collar-less version as well as sleeves without cuffs. And there also is a sweater version. I chose ponte di roma for my dress. It gives the shape a little more stability than “normal” jersey, and it’s so much easier to sew because it doesn’t curl up on you!
I love, love, love Coco, and have made the dress twice and the sweater once. If you have half a day, this is the perfect project! You can find more pics of my Coco dress on my blog at http://theflyingneedle.de/en/sewingforme/coco-meets-audrey!
