Beware the paper pattern format

A review of I AM Patterns Men's Artemis Coat

Now, I haven’t actually made this yet, but wanted to write a quick note here to say that the paper pattern necessitates tracing before you set off on your merry, sewing way. I hadn’t bargained for this (and I don’t have any large-size paper on hand!) and it’s thrown a bit of a spanner in the works for what I was hoping was going to be a speedy make.

The pattern is printed on a single sheet of paper and the pieces overlap one another to fit. As a result you’ll need to trace off the pieces before you start. Not a total calamity, but a bit of a pain in the toosh. If I was able I’d get the PDF version and use the print shop option. But maybe I’m just a lazy, impatient sausage?

Anyway, will report back when I’ve finally got over myself and made the jacket. It looks lovely (and very simple to sew – only 4 steps!)
