beautifully drafted patter

Saw someone’s make on the Foldline facebook group and fell in love. I made this “toile” for my daughter out of a heavy denim, lined with a plaid lining fabric. The toile is good enough for the moment…

OK, the directions are slim to none, and I did have to puzzle over several things (the pockets, insetting the sleeves until i found that there was indeed two marks for bottom and top where I didn’t expect them.)

Overall everything fits together beautifully and it’s super cute. The collar and the back pleat are really nice. The bagged lining is brilliant and works perfectly.

I’d say the pattern runs a little big, my daughter is very small and this was the 36 – (she’s 5 feet) – I even narrowed the shoulders a little. If I got up the energy to make it again (but how many coats does a person need) I’d probably go smaller.
